Things look different at the top of an organization. The skills used while rising through the ranks or building the company are more about making sure the right things get done rather than doing them yourself; finding the answers becomes secondary to asking the right questions. For many small and medium companies, obtaining executive development can be a challenge. For the last five years, the Oshkosh Chamber of Commerce has partnered with Differentiating Strategies to bring a series of developmental briefings targeting top level leaders in small and medium businesses. We have selected leadership topics other leaders have mentioned as being relevant in the current landscape. These are presented in accessible down to earth briefings that empower leaders to immediately begin using what they learned within their business. Join us to find how confrontation can improve communication and build strong teams. Confronting is a life skill. In this briefing we will look at what confrontation is and isn’t. We’ll explore it’s myths and counterfeits on the way to developing a healthy model for confrontation starting at the top of your organization. As a leader attending this session you will come away with actions you can take to elevate confrontation into a skill embraced by your team to promote shared understanding, improve decision making and overcome challenges.
