US Chamber Releases Tax Policy Priorities Ahead of Election
The U.S. Chamber of Commerce released a report this week about the importance of pro-growth tax policy and how it boosts workers' wages and strengthens the economy at large. That policy memo called for the new Congress and administration to preserve current business tax rates, ensure the competitiveness of the business tax base, and keep the U.S. international tax system competitive with those of economic rivals around the world.
Next year, lawmakers will have the opportunity to advance pro-growth tax policy as they work to avoid the largest tax increase in American history, which will otherwise occur automatically at the end of 2025 when many important individual, business, and estate tax provisions are scheduled to expire. The Oshkosh Chamber addressed this issue with our congressional delegation members at the Oshkosh Chamber Washington DC Fly-In earlier this year. To get involved with the Oshkosh Chamber’s ongoing advocacy efforts, contact Rob Kleman, Oshkosh Chamber President & CEO, at [email protected].

Reviving the PIE Council!
|
For many years, the PIE (Partners in Education) Council served as the primary Oshkosh forum where K-12 through post-secondary education representatives engaged in meaningful dialog with business, industry and community leaders on programs and initiatives to improve the education experience.
The revival of the PIE Council will help to guide the direction of OCC Education programming as well as strengthen partnerships and collaboration efforts between business and education to create a stronger future for Oshkosh.
If you are interested in being considered for a position on the PIE Council or have questions on Link2Learn or FutureYOU, please contact Shannon Seaman at [email protected] or 920-303-2265x15
