| OSHKOSH AREA JOBSLESS RATE DROPS TO HISTORIC LOWS
Oshkosh and Winnebago County unemployment rates continued to remain at some of its lowest levels ever in October 2021 since topping out at over 14% at the height of the pandemic back in April of 2020. The unemployment rates for Oshkosh and Winnebago County remained among some of the lowest in the state and region as reported by the Wisconsin Department of Workforce Development (DWD). CITY OF OSHKOSH EMPLOYMENT DATA The data indicated that the unemployment rate for October 2021 was an astonishing 2%, down from 2.9% in September of 2021 and 3.6% in October of 2021.

| LEADERSHIP OSHKOSH GOVERNMENT DAY | | |

| Leadership Oshkosh participants learned how city, county and state government work together for the benefit of the community. Through a mock city council meeting, interviewing a panel of elected officials and viewing presentations the class gained a better understanding of the role government plays. The other part of the day was spent touring the Oshkosh Fire Department and seeing first-hand the importance of their services.
A special thank you goes out to elected officials who participated in a panel discussion on why they choose to participate in government office. | | |
