Oshkosh’s greatest asset is the chain of lakes and rivers that surrounds and runs through the city. Oshkosh sits on the western shore of Lake Winnebago, the largest fresh water lake within a U.S. state, and is banked by the Fox River and Lake Butte des Morts.
