As the 7th Annual Economic Outlook Breakfast draws near, many are asking, “What will Brian forecast this year?”

It’s a question that many anticipate the answer to with the return of economist Brian Beaulieu to Oshkosh.  He will review what happened in 2011 and provide his economic outlook for the future, along with providing a little bit of advice to individuals and business owners.

Beaulieu, who comes to Oshkosh through the generous sponsorship of Ganther Construction/Architecture, will interpret economic indicators to clarify a vision for the future on a national, regional and local level.  Beaulieu’s presentation helps business leaders as they make decisions that affect the future of their company.

Beaulieu has been an economist with the Institute for Trend Research (ITR) since 1982 and its CEO since 1987. He is also chief economist for Vistage International and TEC, global organizations comprised of more than 13,000 CEOs. At ITR, Beaulieu has been engaged in applied research regarding business cycle trend analysis and the utilization of that research at a practical business level. For the past 25 years, he has been giving workshops and seminars across the United States and Canada to thousands of business owners and executives. Prior to joining the Institute, he was an economist in Washington, D.C. for the United States Department of Labor.
