Youth Career Exploration Camps

Join us for Camp Badger Exploring Engineering™!

July 5–11, 2015 at the University of Wisconsin Oshkosh

Camp Badger is a one-week, residential program for Wisconsin and Minnesota teenagers entering eighth grade in the fall. As a camper, you will explore many types of engineering fields and see how they can lead to great careers—all while living in a student residence hall and experiencing life on a college campus.

 

Health Careers Summer Camp

Fox Valley Camp: June 21 - June 25th
Lakeshore Camp: July 12 - July 16th

The Health Careers Summer Camp is a 5 day program that provides an opportunity for high school students to experience first hand the challenges, opportunities and rewards of health professions. The hands-on activities are facilitated by instructors and health care professionals.

 

Fire Science Camps

June 21 - 24, 2015 at UW Oshkosh

Join us for one of our exciting Fire Science Camps! Live the life of a firefighter, and practice firefighting skills and knowledge. 

 

Business World Core Program

June 28th - July 1st • Edgewood College, Madison
June 21st - June 24th • St. Norbert College, De Pere

Wisconsin Business World is a program for high school students from across Wisconsin. The students learn real-world business experiences and gain an understanding of the importance of the free enterprise system.

 

Electric Guitar Building

Learn about design and manufacturing principles and techniques through the process of designing and building an electric guitar. Topics include: body and headstock design, basic woodworking, finishing, fretting, electronics assembly, hardware assembly and guitar setup. Discover the processes that go into creating a consumer product and walk away from the class with a beautiful solid body electric guitar that you designed and built yourself.

Girls in the Shop

June 15-19, 2015

Girls will gain confidence in the shop as they participate in hands-on learning using a variety of manufacturing equipment from the Welding & Fabrication Program to produce a finished take-home project (end table/nightstand). Girls must wear close-toed shoes and long pants (jeans) to work in the shop. Additional safety equipment will be supplied. Registration fee includes a camp t-shirt, daily lunch and take-home projects.

Young Entrepreneurial Scholars Residential Program (YES)

Grades 10, 11, 12

The YES program provides academic and professional development courses and activities to help students prepare for business careers in college. Students from the Milwaukee area who have a strong interest in accounting may also apply for the YES Internship.
